Loving someone you love is easy, until it’s not.

When you’re tired, stressed, distracted, busy, over committed, or whatever; showing love can be hard. When they’re frustrating, confusing, irritating, absent, distracted, or whatever; showing love can be hard.

Loving someone requires commitment, and a daily choice to show love in whatever way you are able. And it’s that daily choice that shows our true heart for that person.

And so it also is in our worship of God. Sometimes it’s choosing to worship Him despite the struggles we’re going through. Sometimes it’s choosing to worship Him in ways that don’t come easy. Sometimes it’s choosing to worship Him when He feels absent or distant.

This is a theme we will keep coming back to. But for now, I’m choosing to worship Him in the mundane, by being disciplined in my focus at work.
